Driven by a shared passion for the rich traditions and vibrant innovations of South Asian performing arts, we founded Nandonik to celebrate, preserve, and evolve our cultural heritage through an inclusive and welcoming community. As an independent performing arts association in Southern California, we endeavor to develop, organize, stage, and promote South Asian cultural events, based on various South Asian cultures and languages but centered around performing arts like theater, music, dance, elocution etc.

Our organization’s focus is to unite artists, thespians, musicians, dancers, and storytellers from all backgrounds, embracing the diversity within the South Asian diaspora and beyond. We are committed to creating equitable opportunities for the artists — whether seasoned professionals or emerging voices—ensuring that all who wish to share their art are welcomed and uplifted.

For all of whom we touch, our larger goal is to help them to appreciate and learn about the rich cultural heritage of South Asia. Through performances, workshops, and art events, we aim to inspire, educate, and build bridges between communities, making the beauty of South Asian performing arts accessible to all – our generation and the next.
